John Chaple

John Chaple has over 30 years’ experience serving as a Finance leader and value-added operating partner, working with businesses ranging from start-up through Fortune 100 corporations.

Since 2018, John has focused on supporting privately held businesses. Most recently, John served as VP Finance for International Cosmetics & Perfumes, a privately held importer-distributor of luxury fragrances, heading up all aspects of Finance, and leading the Company’s sale to BlackRock.

Other noteworthy experiences have included Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Alex Brands, a PE-backed middle-market toy company, as well as multiple fractional Chief Financial Officer roles for companies in the consumer product, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.

Prior to 2018 John had a lengthy career at Colgate-Palmolive, including 13 years serving as head of Finance at overseas operating units, with extensive experience covering all aspects of Finance / Accounting and Administrative operations, and 10 years in critical Corporate leadership roles, partnering closely across Commercial, Supply Chain and IT functions, to optimize people, process and technology.

John obtained his CPA while working for Coopers & Lybrand Boston in its Emerging Businesses Services group.
