Joe Briner is a seasoned executive with a proven track record as CFO, COO, and CEO across various sectors, including banking and financial services, biopharma, risk management, and media. Throughout his career, Joe has focused on building operational strength through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional team alignment. His prior work as an investment banker has enhanced his impact as a Fractional CFO, enabling him to advise growing and transitioning businesses through the execution of middle-market transactions across M&A, debt and equity capital raises, restructuring, and valuation services for a wide range of domestic and international clients in industries such as life sciences, technology, AI, SaaS, clean energy, real estate, and industrial markets.

As a strategic and financial leader, Joe brings a capital markets lens to operational finance, enabling companies to scale efficiently while maintaining fiscal discipline. He has led the development and implementation of strategic plans, KPI dashboards, forecasting tools, board packages, and reporting processes that empower leadership teams to make informed decisions and drive sustainable growth. His ability to integrate high-level financial strategy with practical execution makes him a trusted partner for businesses seeking both clarity and momentum.

Joe earned his MBA from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and holds a BA from Denison University. He and his wife live in the Atlanta area and enjoy traveling to visit their four grown daughters and their families. Joe served for eight years on the City of Alpharetta Development Authority Board, during which time the Authority issued over $2 billion in bonds. He has also served as a court-appointed receiver and assignee under Assignment for Benefit of Creditors. Outside of work, Joe is an avid tennis and golf player, enjoys disc golf and travel, and is deeply involved in his faith community at North Point Community Church, where he has led small groups for over 15 years.
